Don't Do It!!!!

Ok, Brenda Jackson is hands down my favorite author. Not one of her books feels recycled, every story is new fresh and exciting. That being said, Truly Everlasting is literally the one book I haven't read of hers but I figured I'd skip the book and just watch the movie. I was super excited when it came in the mail. Then I watched it...it was awful. First of all, there is like some kind of delay with the words, you see them talking but the words don't catch up till 5 seconds later. Second of all, the female lead, Felicia was awful. Her deliverance was that of an amateur. My five year old could've recited the lines better. The male lead, Kenny Rogers, he was decent, nice body, he showed a little more emotion than homegirl. The other actors were just kind of randomly thrown into the mix. Overall I would recommend a Brenda Jackson book to just about anybody...but when it comes to buying the dvd...JUST DON'T DO IT!!!!!

Loved Trask and Felicia's story. I even purchased the video and enjoyed that too. Very well written book, excellent storyline and I am just enamored with the Madarises, Maxwells, Mitchells, and all of the other friends and family members of the Madaris clan.

Disappointed
By this game is very addictive!!!
I enjoyed the original story, however I was disappointed with the "screenplay" version of the same story. When I paid the 9.99 for the book I was expecting a longer story not 2 versions of the same story. I am usual pleased all that I read from this author.

About the Author
Gordon West holds the highest FCC commercial operator license, the First Class General Radiotelephone Certificate with RADAR Endorsement. He has been an amateur radio operator form more than 50 years, holding the top Extra Class license, call sign WB6NOA. He has served on the faculty of Coastline College and Orange Coast College. Gordon is a regular contributor to marine, land mobile radio, and amateur radio magazines. He is a fellow of the Radio Club of America, a 40-year member of the National Marine Electronics Association (NMEA), and a life member of the American Radio Relay League.

Outstanding Prep for FCC General Radio License Exam ! ! !

***** 5 Stars with no reservations, for this OUTSTANDING FCC Exam Prep-Study Guide for the General Radio Operator License Exam. It includes ALL the Question Pools for Elements 1,3 & 8. (Basic & intermediate level Electronics; Radar Repair & Required knowledge of the FCC Maritime & Aviation Radio regulations) The book not only supplies the answers to every question, it goes a step further and explains the reason for why the answer given is the correct one. Sometimes, these explanations are just a paragraph, other times they can be quite extensive and detailed. The Book also supplies a lot of useful supplementary information for those who are interested in a career as a Marine or Aviation Technician. Included in the package are two CD-ROMS. One CD covers the relevant CFR (Code of Federal Regulations) as they pertain to Radio Repair & Operation in the Marine & Aviation Fields. The second CD-Rom contains FCC GROL practice exams, with special features, such as the software can tell what areas you are weak in and therefore need more study time on. Overall, I have to say that Gordon West & the W5YI Group really produced a great product here, and it was well worth the price, of $79.95. (HINT): You generally "Get what you pay for". Peace ;-)

GROL + RADAR & Software

I just finished taking Elements 1, 3, and 8 of the FCC EXAM and passing them. I used this book and the accompanying software to study for the exam. This book won't teach you the theory behind the questions. You still need to know electronics and radio theory. But the book and software are good practical guides. A brief explanation of the correct answer for each and every test question possible is included in the text which helps speed studying because you don't have to consult numerous tomes of electronics texts to refresh your memory on little used calculations, formulas etc. The accompanying software and practice exam program makes studying an interactive process and aids study by showing weak areas where more study is needed.

This book has all the information needed take the exams and file applications for a commercial license.

1 Q & A's of all the newest questions in the Element 1, 3, and 8 FCC test banks
2. Practice exam software you can use to drill yourself for the exam
3. A CD containing applicable US Laws and FCC forms.

A final word of caution: This book should be used exactly for what it is intended. It is not an electronics theory book. It is intended specifically for preparing to take the FCC Commercial License exams element 1, 3, and 8.

Good Book But Read the Footnotes

Bottom Line: Well organized and well edited, but be sure to read the footnotes.

This book has chosen cases well and is up to date. There is very little textual material to read. Most of the book is cases and statutes with the author's original thoughts in the footnotes. So be sure to at least skim through those because info that would otherwise be in the text of another book is in the footnotes here. The book does a good job of refreshing Con Law and Civ Pro without going too far into those areas.
